Terms of service

Last updated October 1, 2026.

1. The service

Licenseology operates a directory and brokerage that connects licensed contractors ("qualifiers") with businesses seeking to be licensed through a qualifier, and provides licensing-related services including agreement preparation, application preparation and submission, licensure defense and probation-packet preparation. Creating an account, listing a license, searching the directory and sending inquiries are free. Paid services are priced on the site and ordered from your dashboard.

2. Accounts and accuracy

You must give accurate information and keep it current. License holders represent that every license they list is theirs, is in the status stated, and that they are eligible to qualify a business. Businesses represent that the information about their company is accurate and that they are authorized to act for it. We may verify information with licensing boards and may remove listings or accounts that are inaccurate or misused.

3. Lawful qualifying arrangements only

Every state that licenses contractors through a qualifier requires the qualifier to genuinely supervise and control the work and business affairs the license covers. You agree not to use the service to arrange a license rental, name-only qualification or any arrangement in which the qualifier will not actually supervise. We decline and may terminate any arrangement that appears to be one.

4. Introductions and the other party

We screen inquiries and make introductions, but the decision to enter an arrangement, and its terms, are yours and the other party's. We do not guarantee that any match will result in an agreement, that any application will be approved, or the performance of either party.

5. Legal services

Agreements and applications prepared through the service are drafted and reviewed by lawyers on our staff, who are licensed in Florida. For matters in other states we coordinate with local counsel where required. Preparation of transaction documents for both parties is not representation of either party against the other; each party is encouraged to obtain its own counsel. Nothing on the website is legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship exists until an engagement agreement is signed.

6. Fees and payment

Fees for paid services are stated before you order and are charged by card through our payment processor. Fees for document preparation and application services are earned when the work is delivered; fees paid to licensing boards and third-party vendors are not refundable by us. Compensation between a qualifier and a business is set by them and is not a fee of ours.

7. Documents

You grant us permission to store and use documents you upload to provide the service, including reviewing them with software and AI tools under human supervision. You remain responsible for the accuracy of what you upload.

8. Partners

Partner vendors listed on the site are independent businesses. We do not guarantee their services, and we may receive compensation for referrals.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the website or the brokerage service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for the acts of other users or partners, or for decisions of licensing boards.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Venue for any dispute is Leon County, Florida.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it. Questions: hello@licenseology.com.
