Qualifying Agreement Package
Attorney-prepared qualifying agreement so both parties know exactly where they stand, plus the board application.
Once a qualifier and a company agree to work together, our lawyers prepare the qualifying agent agreement: compensation, duties, supervision, insurance, indemnity, term and exit. We walk both parties through it, revise it until both are comfortable, and prepare the application to the licensing board that makes the company licensed through its qualifier.
What's included
- Qualifying agent agreement drafted and reviewed by a lawyer on staff
- Supervision and financial-control provisions that satisfy the state's qualifier rules
- Separate review call with each party so nobody signs blind
- Board application to qualify the business, prepared and submitted
- Document checklist and secure upload for both parties
Questions
Who do your lawyers represent?
We prepare and review the documents for the transaction and explain them to both parties. If either party wants separate counsel to review, we encourage it and will coordinate with that lawyer.
How long does it take?
Most agreements are finalized within two weeks of the first call. Board processing time depends on the state; in Florida, a complete qualifying application typically moves through the DBPR in four to eight weeks.
