Why we exist

Every state that regulates construction licenses people, not companies. That leaves good companies stuck: a capable operator without the exam, a business whose qualifier retired, an out-of-state contractor who wants to work here. On the other side are thousands of licensed contractors whose licenses could be qualifying a company and earning them a living, if only the two sides could find each other and trust the paperwork.

Word of mouth has filled that gap badly. Handshake deals, "rented" licenses and vague promises have hurt qualifiers, companies and the public, and licensing boards rightly discipline them. Licenseology is the structured alternative: a national database of qualifiers, staff who screen every match, and lawyers who put the relationship in writing before anything is filed.

What we do

• Match. A searchable, staff-verified directory of license holders in every construction and electrical category, in all 50 states.
• Document. Qualifying agreements drafted and reviewed by lawyers on staff, with real supervisory authority, compensation, insurance, indemnity and exit terms.
• File. Application preparation, submission and monitoring for qualifying a business, initial licenses, changes of status and renewals.
• Defend. Licensure defense before the boards, and complete CILB probation packets for Florida contractors on probation.

Licenseology is based in Tallahassee, Florida, a few blocks from the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and serves clients in every state. Our attorneys are licensed in Florida; for matters in other states we coordinate with local counsel where the state requires it.
