What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, phone number, email and mailing address, and, if you give them, details about your company. License holders add license information. Businesses add what they need. Both may upload documents such as license certificates, identification, credit reports, corporate records and insurance certificates. Visitors who use a contact form give us whatever they enter. We also collect ordinary web logs and payment confirmations from our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers.

How we use it

• To run the service: show public listings (first name and last initial, license category, state, type, experience and availability only), route inquiries, make introductions, prepare agreements and applications, and process payments.
• To contact you about your account, inquiries, engagements and orders.
• To prepare applications. Our staff may use software, including AI tools, to read documents you upload and draft application packets. Every draft is reviewed by a person before anything is filed. Documents are not used to train AI models.
• To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

What we share

Your full name, license number and contact details are shared with the other party to a qualifying arrangement only after our staff make an introduction and you have agreed. Documents are visible to you, to our staff and, when attached to an engagement, to the other party to that engagement. We share information with service providers who host our site, send our email and process payments, and with licensing boards when we file an application on your behalf. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and security

Account data is kept while your account is active and for as long afterwards as our professional obligations require. Documents are stored encrypted at rest and served only to signed-in users with a right to see them. You can delete documents and close your account from your dashboard or by emailing us.

Your choices

Qualifiers control whether each license is visible and whether their profile is public. Anyone can ask us to correct or delete their information by emailing hello@licenseology.com.
